besuchten
Expertenworkshop
in der European
TelematicsFactory
in Berlin durch.
Erstmals
veröffentlichte
Beecham die
Befragungsergebnisse
seines
weltweiten
Panels. Machine
to machine
communication
wird aktuell bei
Automatisierungs-
und
transportnahen
Dienstleistungen
eingesetzt.
Minolta
beispielsweise
steuert von
Langenhagen aus
weltweit die
Funktionsfähigkeit
ihrer über 30
000
Kopiermaschinen.
Per SIM Card
meldet jedes
Gerät den
Status, z. B.
den
Tonerverbrauch
mit der Folge,
dass
entsprechend
automatisierte
Orders den
Lagerbestand
wieder
aufstocken.
Das
Befragungspanel
mit seinen 1022
befragten
Personen
schlüsselte
neben einer
Vielzahl von
Fakten auf, dass
derzeit GSM/GPRS
eine hoch
bewertete
Anwendungstechnologie
ist, noch vor
Festnetz-Ethernet
und vor allem
RFID, das in
dieser Befragung
in seiner
Bedeutung nicht
über mittlere
Plätze hinaus
kam.
Treiber für die
M2M-Nutzung ist
die Suche der
Anbieter nach
neuen
Dienstleistungen,
und dem sich
verschärfenden
Dienstleistungswettbewerb.
Die klassischen
Informationsmedien
haben auch hier
ihre Bedeutung
nicht verloren -
trotz aller
Technologiekonzepte.
56% der
Befragten gaben
an, bei der
Auswahl der
Systeme der
Mund-zu-Mund
Werbung zu
vertrauen,
immerhin 56%
entschieden auf
der Basis von
Internetrecherchen.
Die Fachpresse
liegt mit nur
22% bei der
erforderlichen
Informationsvermittlung
abgeschlagen mit
auf den hinteren
Plätzen.
Highlight der
Berliner
Fachvorträge war
u.a. die
Übersicht über
den US-Markt
durch die
Herausgeberin
des M2M
Magazins, Peggy
Smedley. Sie
zeigte den
Experten die
Potentiale für
Anwendungen "Pay-as-you-go",
Flottenmangement
mit Anbindung an
die CAN Bus
Systeme, sowie
intelligente
Zählerstandserfassungen
auf. Allein die
E.ON AG wird bis
2009 mehr als
140 000
Erfassungsgeräte
in ihre Systeme
einbauen.
Der in Berlin
neu formierte
Beirat hat sich
für Oktober 2009
vorgenommen,
erstmals einen
Preis für die
innovativsten
M2M Lösungen
auszuloben.

The German Telematics Association TelematicsPRO, Beecham Research Ltd
and Machmer International Consulting are delighted to announce the
international M2M-conference that will take place on 9 and 10 October
2008 at the European TelematicsFactory in Berlin-Charlottenburg,
in the heart of the German capital.
This two - day highly qualified conference will
provide a venue for constructive exchange of views among European
decision makers and specialists operating in the field of M2M, with a
particular focus on long and short range wireless.
This M2M-Conference will form an international meeting point for
Corporations, System Integrators, Research Institutes and leading
Technology Suppliers representing many European countries, with the aim
of establishing significant networking opportunities for attendees.
The
scope of this event is to provide an insight into the European M2M
market potential, presenting concrete M2M-examples and applications from
different European countries, their regulatory situation and an
