M2M- technologies are more and more part our everyday life and within the European Union and in the United States is emerging a raising awareness about Telemedicine and Patient Telemonitoring.
High quality M2M-technologies are used in our modern society with the philosophy of age-based living to guarantee comfort and a feeling of security for elderly people and chronic disease patients.
According to renowned demographic Institutes, since 2002 the population of the European Union member States has been clearly declining. At the same time all European industrial countries do begin to show a high percentage of elderly fellow citizen and a declining population.
In short: The European population is decreasing and aging becoming more heterogeneous.
In Germany the percentage of people over 60 years old will reach 40% within 2050.
This higher expectation of life and the associated extended aging process require high value technologies for the Health care sector, aimed at assuring to elderly and sick people comfort and secureness in their domestic ambience.
Telemedicine is the right response to these needs.
